DANDENONG Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) will hold its March general meeting at the new Drum Theatre and Town Hall complex and is calling strongly for the city’s retailers to join as DRTA members.
DRTA chairman Roy Aspinall said the Tuesday, 7 March meeting would be held at Dandenong’s newest facility which is actually the revitalised version of Dandenong Town Hall, first built in 1890.
“It will bring to the precinct some of the best shows and finest entertainers in the nation, and that can only snowball to lift the image of Central Dandenong and bring with it an increase in restaurants and coffee lounges, and will show off the area to visitors and new shoppers,” Mr Aspinall said.
“All retailers are welcome at the March general meeting, be they members or not, but we do hope that all retailers will eventually join.”
The meeting will commence at 6pm and is expected to conclude by 7.30pm, at the Drum Theatre and Town Hall, corner Walker and Lonsdale Streets, Dandenong.
Guest speaker will be City of Greater Dandenong’s cultural facilities director Paul Streefkerk.
