JACKIE Weaver’s latest one-woman show is heading to the Drum Theatre and Town Hall next week for a one-off performance.
Following another sell out season with Last of the Red Hot Lovers and Last Cab to Darwin, Weaver, one of Australia’s favourite actresses, returns to the stage to perform one of her most demanding roles in a play she loves and discovered with Jennifer Hagan namely The Blonde, The Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead.
In a suburban shopping complex, a crime has been committed but who is responsible – the blonde, the brunette or the vengeful redhead?
Writer Robert Hewett has created seven wonderfully touching and vibrant characters, all played by the incomparable Jacki Weaver, to take the audience on a subtle, moving, and at times hilarious journey down the road of understanding and forgiveness to a place where spirits are lifted.
The once-only show is at 8pm on Thursday, 28 September.
To book tickets call the Drum Box Office on 9771 6666.
