ONE of Victoria’s newest political parties will this month announce its Upper House candidate who will vie for a seat in the South Eastern Metropolitan region at this November’s State Election.
People Power was federally registered as a political party in March this year and will field candidates in all 88 Legislative Assembly seats and eight Upper House regions.
The party recently announced anti-pokies campaigner Gabriela Byrne as its Eastern Victoria candidate.
People Power candidate team leader Jack Reilly said a candidate covering the Greater Dandenong area under the South Eastern Metropolitan region would be announced later this month. With five seats available in the region, each successful candidate needs just over 17 per cent of the vote to win.
