POLICE have interviewed an 18-year-old Dandenong North man after a road rage incident late last month.
Cranbourne police said a 62-year-old man was driving on Hallam Road, Hampton Park, when another car overtook dangerously on 26 October. The 62-year-old tooted his horn, police said, and the other driver began to drive aggressively and attempted to hit the 62-year-old’s car.
Police said that at traffic lights in Wentworth Avenue, the driver left his car, opened the door of the 62-year-old’s car and repeatedly punched him in the face.
A police van driving past noticed the road rage incident and arrested the 18-year-old.
Police said they had so far interviewed the 18-year-old on assault and traffic matters.
