UK HYPNOTIST Peter Powers is coming to Dandenong to entrance an audience of locals in a one-off performance at the Dandenong Workers’ Club.
The popular hypnotist is renowned for his entertaining hypnosis shows, many including celebrities, where people are convinced to become something they never imagined.
Punters can expect up to two hours of action-packed comedy, but the show is not for the faint hearted as Powers delivers his adults only version.
Powers is often described as wicked, naughty and mischievous, and although some routines are adult in nature, it is strictly in good humour.
With appearances on The Footy Show and his own Celebrity Superpowers TV Show, and with Power Of One to be aired this year, Peter The hypnotist is fast becoming a major celebrity and draw card on the Australian circuit.
He currently holds the record for the world’s longest hypnotic sleep.
Powers set this in 1993 when he hypnotised a man in a Liverpool shop window to sleep, on display, for eight days.
The event was televised and broadcast all over the world, raising much needed money for charity, Oxfam.
He has broken his own record since, when, in 1997, at the Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, he hypnotised a staggering 35 people in one minute, under similar test conditions.
The mesmerising feats of Peter Powers can be experienced at the Dandenong Workers’ Club on Friday 15 September, 48 Wedge Street, Dandenong.
For times and bookings phone the club on 9792 5064.
You’re feeling very sleepy…
