CAROLS by Candlelight is returning to Greater Dandenong this year in a bigger and better format.
The Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce is organising the event for 22 December, and president Renae MacNamara told Star the chamber was expecting up to 5000 people to attend.
Australian entertainer Denis Walter will return as master of ceremonies for the evening after his outstanding effort at last year’s event.
The highlight of the evening will be appearances by Santa Claus and a ‘cracker’ of a fireworks show.
Families are encouraged to bring rugs to sit on, food and drink to remain well nourished, and their best singing voices to keep in tune with the carols.
Carols by Candlelight will start at 6.30pm on 22 December in Dandenong Park, Princes Highway, Dandenong.
