DANDENONG detectives are investigating an assault in which a 17-year-old man was stabbed.
About 1.50am on Sunday, the victim was confronted by a group of six young men on Cranbourne Road, Frankston, near the local skate park.
Police said the men assaulted the Frankston teenager, stealing his mobile phone then stabbing him with a sharp object.
The 17-year-old was rushed to The Alfred hospital where he was later discharged with bruising and a minor stab wound.
Police are calling for witnesses to assist with the investigation as no descriptions of the attackers were filed.
