DANDENONG police are calling for witnesses, including a woman who alerted security guards to a serious assault at the Dandenong Plaza car park last Sunday.
Police spokeswoman Marika Fengler said two Dingley men were driving out of the level-two car park at the plaza in their silver Toyota Corolla at 2.30pm on Sunday.
She said two men in a white Nissan Pintara indicated for them to stop and then ‘got out and abused and assaulted the Dingley men’.
One Dingley man, 34, was unconscious after the attack.
He and the other Dingley man, 25, were taken to Dandenong Hospital with serious injuries.
Both had broken noses, and bruised and fractured ribs.
Ms Fengler said the men from the Nissan Pintara later turned themselves in at Dandenong police station and were released pending further investigations.
Police are now calling for what they believe were a number of witnesses to come forward, including a woman who informed security guards at the plaza of the incident.
