Quest nets Plaza award

AUSTRALIA’S shopping centre community has recognised Dandenong Plaza for its marketing of a youth talent quest.
The Plaza won the Big Guns Community/Societal Award at the Shopping Centre News Marketing Awards in Sydney last week for its work in promoting last year’s Urban Quest.
The talent quest was a joint project between Mission Australia, the Dandenong Plaza Youth Centre and the Dandenong Plaza, and was last year held in centre court inside the Plaza.
Dandenong Plaza marketing manager Julie MacDougall accepted the award and said credit was mainly due to the spirit of Urban Quest.
“This award is testament to the ongoing support of the whole Dandenong community in getting behind such a great event that is the Urban Quest,” she said.
“It is a great means to showcase the phenomenal talent that exists at Dandenong.”
