POUND Road’s intersection upgrade will cost $36.8 million, the State Government says.
Last week the State Government revealed its 2008/09 budget and details of an upgrade to the congestion-riddled roundabout.
Lyndhurst MP Tim Holding said the upgrade would be good news for drivers who used the South Gippsland Highway and Pound Road.
“This upgrade complements the Brumby Government’s investment in road projects in our local area, including the duplications of Clyde Road, Narre Warre-Cranbourne Road and Thompsons Road,” Mr Holding said.
