DANIJEL Lazic is a model student in many ways.
The grade six student at Maralinga Primary School in Keysborough scooped first prize in the Constructional Activities Grade Five and Six category at this month’s Dandenong Show for his three-dimensional human model.
But the honours didn’t end there, with the Dandenong Show’s judges awarding Danijel’s piece the Overall Champion of everything three dimensional from all grades, across all Greater Dandenong schools.
But the modest pupil was not expecting the glory.
“I just entered it and thought if I win, then good, if not, then oh well,” he said.
Danijel made his masterpiece by first making a wire frame, then placing plaster over it and painting it.
