VICROADS will reseal Dandenong-Frankston Road because the current surface is in tatters.
The City of Greater Dandenong engineering services director Tim Tamlin and Dandenong Ward councillor Jim Memeti this week revealed details on the surface upgrade to the crucial business link road in Dandenong South.
Cr Memeti, who has been lobbying for the road to be repaired, said the council received notification this month that the northbound section between Greens Road and the railway bridge would receive a surface overhaul.
Mr Tamlin said in a letter he received from VicRoads, regional manager Steve Brown wrote that works would be completed by the end of December.
“The surface needed a reseal because the existing surface was starting to fail,” Mr Tamlin said.
