Turn over a new leaf

NATIONAL Tree Day will sprout into action this Sunday, 27 July, with a Schools Tree Day tomorrow (Friday).
Since its inception in 1996, more than 1.8 million volunteers have planted nearly 12 million native trees at more than 20,000 locations Australia-wide.
Greater Dandenong residents are encouraged to come along and help the environment by planting indigenous plants in reserves and parks throughout the city.

Tree planting will be held at the following locations this weekend:
– Tatterson Park, Keysborough, Saturday, 10am to 1pm. Meet at the entrance on the corner of Westbrook Drive, Keysborough.
– Fotheringham Reserve, Dandenong, Sunday, 10am to 1pm.
