HAIR-RAISING is one way to describe the latest public art exhibition in Greater Dandenong.
The council along with the State Government this week launched the Palm Plaza Seating project, which features indoor settings outdoors.
Live performers were on hand to accentuate the artistic expression of the installations, which the council says are intended to make people walking the Palm Plaza stop and chat.
The plaza is earmarked for improvements in VicUrban’s Revitalising Central Dandenong project.
Planning Minister Justin Madden joined Greater Dandenong mayor John Kelly on Tuesday to launch the art work – and enjoy biscuits and milk in one of Greater Dandenong’s more placid settings.
Palm Plaza and its seating art are located outside the Dandenong Plaza, near McCrae Street, in central Dandenong.
