THIRSTY Merc rocked the Hallam Hotel last Sunday night for the final show of their national tour.
Lead vocalist Rai Thistlethwayte with band members, bass player Phil Stack, lead guitarist Sean Carey and drummer Karl Robertson took centre stage at 11pm dressed in casual jeans and T-shirts.
Surrounded by colourful lights, the Sydney-based band lit up the stage from the start of the show until the encore song.
The band had the audience belting out their hit tunes, especially when they sang the first single from their new album, 20 Good Reasons.
The talented musicians took the audience on a journey through a mix of pop and rock songs during the intimate show.
The encore performance, In The Summertime, was the perfect choice for the final song.
It was upbeat and energetic and got the fans revved up and screaming for more.
At the end of the performance, each of the band members thanked the audience, saying it was great to end their national tour at the Hallam Hotel.
One lucky girl, standing front row, stole a kiss from the band’s lead singer, curly-haired Thistlethwayte, during one of the final songs.
Like true rock stars, the boys from Thirsty Merc greeted their fans after the show, signing official merchandise and CDs.
