POLICE have seized a large number of counterfeit DVDs and CDs, after a raid on a house in Doveton last week.
On Friday 15 August at 8am detectives from Narre Warren CIU executed a search warrant at 70 Betula Street and found over 10,000 pirated DVDs and CDs, valued at more than $500,000.
A 68-year-old man was arrested at the house and conveyed to Narre Warren Police Station, where he was interviewed.
He has been charged with three counts of possessing pirated optical discs, manufacturing pirated optical discs and selling pirated optical discs.
He has been bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 10 December.
