DANDENONG’S Blockbuster Video is helping make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children.
The video rental store will donate proceeds from selected video rentals marked with a special sticker to the Starlight Children’s Foundation (SCF), as part of Starlight Video Month this October.
SCF helps to grant wishes of seriously or terminally ill children, and also provides entertainment for these young children when they stay in hospital.
“Since its inception in 1993, Starlight Video Month has raised much-needed funds to help put Captain Starlight (our mascot) on the road,” SCF spokeswoman Melissa Hay said.
“But while Starlight currently has nine Starlight Express Vans visiting hospitals, there are still so many more hospitals to reach and hospitalised children to entertain.”
To help raise funds, visit Blockbuster Video in Langhorne Street, Dandenong, this October, and rent any DVD or video marked with an SCF sticker.
