A PRODUCT by Bead Foods in Dandenong has won top honours among Australian dairy foods.
Multi-awarded Gippsland Dairy Pure Double Cream won the Grand Champion Dairy Product title for its cream crafted from organic milk and sourced from Gippsland pastures.
The 2009 Australian Grand Dairy Awards ceremony was held in Melbourne on 18 February. It marked a decade of the awards presented by Dairy Australia to promote quality, excellence and innovation in Australian dairy foods.
Highly qualified technical experts, cheesemakers, providers, food media and chefs helped chief judge Neil Wilman select the award-winning products.
Eighteen products were selected from more than 330 entries in cheese, milk, yogurt, ice cream and other dairy categories, representing 85 Australian dairy manufacturers.
