Retailer support essential

THE Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association has urged Central Dandenong retailers to support each other and provide superior service at a time of economic uncertainty.
The Federal Government is providing tax bonuses to certain sections of the community in an attempt to stimulate the economy. “I encourage retailers to spend their additional money with fellow retailers in Central Dandenong to assist their neighbours to remain afloat in this difficult economic climate,” said Roy Aspinall, chairman of the traders’ association.
“Likewise, it is important that retailers demonstrate to their customers that they can provide excellent service so that those customers will return,” Mr Aspinall said.
“Service should be a basic element for any retailer, but as we have all experienced that is not always the case,” he said.
Mr Aspinall said now was the time to look at the principles adopted in management and for staff to ensure customers will return to the establishment.
“By supporting your fellow Central Dandenong retailers they will, hopefully, reciprocate.” For information about the Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association contact chairman, Roy Aspinall, on 9793 3487.
