DANDENONG RSL has raised in excess of $35,000 selling Anzac day badges throughout the city.
Aged-care, community and volunteer co-ordinator John Filmer said this year had reached another record. “Last year was a record when we raised $29,000,” he said. “We haven’t even finished counting and we’re well above that.”
He said he was amazed by the generosity of people “still giving” after “digging deep” for the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal and Black Saturday.
