Reverie missing while streets take shape

AS works on the redevelopment of Dandenong continue, the now iconic Reverie artwork on the corner of Lonsdale and Walker Streets will be temporarily removed.
According to the City of Greater Dandenong’s library, arts and heritage services manager Karen Ward-Smith VicUrban would look after the removal of the artwork.
The construction program required Reverie to be moved from its current location to allow for necessary level change, water drainage and temporary traffic route works as well as the realignment of kerbs along Lonsdale Street.
It’s anticipated that Reverie will be in storage for up to eight months before being reinstated.
Removal works will start next week and are expected to take three days.
