SUPPLYING to 11 different industries has helped Dandenong plastic sheeting business Corex stay on top during the economic downturn.
The business, which has been based in Dandenong for 23 years, continues to go from strength to strength, now known as Australia’s leading manufacturer of hollow profile and solid profile extruded plastic sheeting.
Internationally acclaimed engineering and extrusion practices have enabled Corex to develop innovative products for a wide range of industries, a factor managing director Simon Whitley said has helped them continue to strive through the hard times.
“While some parts of the economy are struggling, others are not,” Mr Whitely said.
“Because we are so diverse, we look after both.”
The business is environmentally sustainable, with Corex buying back their 100 per cent recyclable products to re-use.
Mr Whitley said there would always be a new market and they would continue to develop new products.
