Indecent assault

POLICE are calling on witnesses of an indecent assault in Springvale on Monday.
A 15-year-old girl from Springvale was walking home from school down a walkway between Athol Road and Broadoak Street when she was approached by three male youths.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Freeman said one of the males indecently assaulted the victim by grabbing her clothing over her crotch.
“The victim pushed the offender’s arm away, at which time he began to laugh and speak in a foreign language to his friends as they walked towards Athol Road,” he said.
“One male was said to be riding a black BMX whilst the other two males, including the offender, were walking behind him.”
All three males were described as wearing dark coloured clothing. The victim did not suffer any physical injury as a result of the attack. Witnesses are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
