A BRIGHTON East man was left stranded in Dandenong last week after his car was stolen from underneath him.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Freeman said the man had pulled his grey 2003 model Audi sedan over in Pultney Street, Dandenong to look at the Melways with the engine running on Tuesday afternoon.
“While he was doing this a man described as 190 centimetres tall with a skinny build came up from behind to knock on the window and inform the driver he had a flat tyre,” Det Freeman said. “As the driver got out of his car the other man pushed him to the ground and drove off with his car.”
He said the car has not been seen since it was stolen. He asked for any members of the community who had seen the vehicle with the number plate XFS 123 to contact 000 or those with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
