Teed up for a cure

FORMER Essendon AFL star Adam Ramanauskas joined about 70 people from Greater Dandenong and City of Casey at the Team Rama Corporate Charity Challenge at the Sandhurst Club yesterday (Wednesday).
Team Rama is a charity set up to raise money for the fight against cancer. To date, the charity has raised over $55,000.
This was the second year the Corporate Charity Challenge was held, with all money raised to go to the Cancer Foundation.
The hopeful golfers and past and present AFL stars started with a hearty breakfast before they swung into action at about 8.30am.
Adams’ wife, Belinda said she hoped the golf day would become an annual event.
“It was fantastic last year, and we hope to raise about $15,000 this year,” she said.
Mrs Ramanauskas said a charity fashion parade at Palladium at Crown Casino would be the next event to raise money for the Cancer Foundation.
The fashion parade will be held at 7.30pm on 25 November. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased on the charity website www.teamrama.com.au.
