CITY of Greater Dandenong residents and business representatives attended a Dandenong Retail Traders Association (DRTA) meeting on Tuesday night to discuss topics such as the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and Fair Work Australia.
The meeting highlighted the food and wine festival, which will run from 12 to 23 March with events in the City of Greater Dandenong to be held from 13 to 20 March.
It is expected to attract busloads of visitors to the municipality to sample a variety of treats.
Residents also learned about how Fair Work Australia would affect retailers, and the Centrelink Jobs Expo at Dandenong Market.
Lisa van Doorn from VicUrban was guest speaker.
Dandenong Retail Traders Association chairman Roy Aspinall said he encouraged retailers to become members of the organisation.
“Membership of the Dandenong Retail Traders Association is a wonderful way to have a say in what happens in Central Dandenong,” he said.
