ABOUT $10,000 was raised during a benefit concert for flood victims held at the Drum Theatre on Sunday night.
The Little Ray of Sunshine Concert, which was a sell-out, raised $10,000 for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal in Queensland and the Red Cross Victorian Flood Appeal.
Australian music legend Glenn Shorrock headlined the night along with Lisa Edwards, and comedic acts for Dave O’Neil and Des Dowling.
Greater Dandenong Mayor Roz Blades said the concert could not have gone ahead without the generous support of the entertainers and comedians involved.
“This concert was a great opportunity to give our Queensland neighbours and our fellow Victorians a helping hand,” she said.
“A great time was had by all and I would like to thank everyone in our community for getting behind this fantastic cause.”
