Coomoora past and present

THE past, present and future of Keysborough College’s Coomoora Campus will collide on Saturday.
The school has organised a celebration day for all past and present staff and students to reminisce before the former Coomoora Secondary College shuts its doors in December.
Keysborough College Coom-oora campus assistant principal Sandra George said Saturday would be a chance to catch up with old friends.
“This will be an opportunity for all ex-staff and students to meet and share all the good memories of Coomoora Secondary College/High School before the site closes,” she said.
“We will celebrate the history of the site with photos, videos and displays, music from the college band and a barbecue lunch.”
Plans and photos of students working at new Keysborough College buildings at Acacia and Banksia campuses will also be on display.
Coomoora Secondary College merged with Chandler (now Banksia), Heatherhill (now Acacia) and Springvale Secondary Colleges to create Keysborough College in 2008 and students will be transferred to the Acacia and Banksia campuses after the closure.
Coomoora Primary School will take over part of the site.
The Celebration of Coomoora – past, present and future will be held at 11am to 3pm on Saturday 3 September at Coomoora campus on Coomoora Road, Springvale South.
