KEYSBOROUGH Secondary College’s new science centre will teach budding scientists for years to come.
The new building, built as part of the Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER) program, was officially opened on Friday by school officials and Federal Isaacs MP Mark Dreyfus, although it has been used by students during the year.
The $1.97 million science centre comes after a number of recent Year 12 graduates undertook ongoing study in science related fields.
The college’s assistant principal Michael Gray Lindsay said the centre was an important facility for the school.
“We’re able to teach in the way we’re expected to teach with fantastic new facilities and new technology which comes with that,” he said.
