A DANDENONG choir will sing a little stronger now, thanks to a donation from RACV.
The With One Voice Greater Dandenong Sings Choir has received $5000 through RACV’s Good Citizen’s Program, which will be used to support rehearsal sessions.
The choir put on a thank you performance to RACV’s Noble Park employees.
Choir member and RACV employee Gayle Gilbertson said she initially resisted joining the choir but now loves it.
“Everyone’s contribution to the choir is valued and it’s a great feeling to be part of the beautiful harmonies created by the group,” she said.
“Many of the people taking part have had difficult lives and it’s wonderful to see the difference the choir makes to them.”
RACV membership services executive general manager Susan Allen said the choir was part of a fantastic program.
“With One Voice is a fantastic program which contributes enormously to the local community, bringing people of diverse backgrounds together to build confidence and connections and help with employment opportunities,” she said.
“RACV is proud to be supporting this important initiative that makes a real difference in the lives of choir members.”
