Sexual harassment of teens

POLICE are seeking public assistance to find a man who has been making sexual advances toward young teenage boys in Noble Park.
Detective Sergeant Shaun Allen from the Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) said police were investigating at least three incidents where a man had made inappropriate advances towards boys, aged between 12 and 15.
The first incident was reported in the days before Christmas and the most recent was reported last week.
Det Sgt Allen said SOCIT believed there may be more cases.
“We are aware of three advances, but suspect there are more, and we know there were witnesses,” he said.
“We are seeking witnesses and want to bring the public’s attention to a possible creep in the area.”
Det Sgt Allen said the man approached the boys, whether alone or in a group, and suggested they follow him to his car.
His is described as of Indian appearance, between 40 and 50 years old, with a slim build, and driving a small silver car.
