SANDOWN Cobras brought out the speccy bags and had plenty of footballs ready for the next generation of superb Football Integration Development Association (FIDA) stars. Piling into Edinburgh Reserve on Tuesday, all abilities students from across the region participated in the Sandown Cobras’ All Abilities Annual Footy Fun Day. The event attracted busloads of kids with a disability to come along and enjoy a terrific day with the Cobras and their FIDA team who encourage more people to get involved with all abilities football. In attendance was Victorian Sports Minister Damian Drum, who announced the Access All Abilities Play website – a portal to help all abilities athletes get involved with sport at all levels. Springvale Park Special Developmental School’s keen footy champion Tuan (pictured) loved the speccy target and was keen for another run at the marking bag. The Access All Abilities Play website is www.aaavic.org.au.
