Truck arson bid burns out

WOULD-BE arsonists attempted to set fire to a truck in Westall Road, Springvale, between 7am and midnight on 6 March.
The vehicle was parked on the front lawn of a property when they pushed a cloth rag into its diesel tank and set it alight.
However the fire burned itself out before extensive damage was caused.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Detective Senior Constable Kane Taylor at Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487.
