NOBLE Park RSL welcomed hundreds of people to its Anzac Day service on Sunday 21 April.
Schools, community groups and politicians laid wreaths at the Cenotaph, and guest speaker Ray McCarthy shared stories about his family members who served in World War I.
The Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia president and Noble Park RSL senior vice president said it was great to see “so many young people taking in an interest in these old diggers”.
The service featured a flyover at 11.10am, and touching words from Father John Whiteside about “those who did not return to receive the grateful thanks of a nation”.
Service maintains interest in diggers
