KEEN bowlers can take to the green for charity in Keysborough in March.
Entries for the annual Rotary Club of Noble Park Charity Bowls Day are now open.
The event was first held in 1987 as the Mayoral Charity Bowls Day and has since raised more than $190,000.
Roy Aspinall, through his store Highway Bowls Centre and now personally, has sponsored the event every year.
The 28th annual competition will be held at Keysborough Bowls Club on Sunday 23 March from 9.15am.
Thirty-two teams – men, women and mixed – will compete in a lightning two bowl open triples event with four games of 10 ends.
The winning team will receive $600 cash and the perpetual Wal Turner Shield, and the runner-up $300.
Entry is $30 a team and closes 17 March.
Forms are available from all Greater Dandenong bowls clubs and Rotary Club of Noble Park.
