Thieves put tools on the tab

THIEVES wore stolen uniforms and posed as employees to charge more than $10,000 in tools to a business’ hardware store account.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives have been told that the two men attended a hardware store on Greens Road, Dandenong, four times in January.
They pretended to be from a company that had a credit account with the store, took tools and hardware and told staff to put the items on the account.
Police were notified when the company received its monthly invoice.
They have released images of a man they believe could assist with their investigations.
Detectives urged anyone who recognises the man or has any information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
