SPORTS Fest is for anyone who plays sport, is keen to get active, or is looking for a fun family activity.
The all-ages, all-abilities festival will be held at Ross Reserve in Noble Park on Sunday 16 March from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
It runs alongside the Noble Park Aquatic Centre open day and will include free entry to the pool from 2pm to 5pm.
Greater Dandenong Mayor Jim Memeti said the day was aimed at families with a focus on getting people active and healthy.
“Sports Fest is a fantastic day out for the entire family,” he said.
“Not only can you come and try a variety of sports including netball, basketball, soccer, AFL, tennis, gymnastics and hockey, but you can also get some handy tips on eating healthy.”
Other activities for the day will include a mobile skate park, CFA display, a pedal your own smoothie stand, healthy food workshops, plant your own herbs and seedlings, sports clinics, roving music and entertainment and food giveaways.
There will also be special player appearances from the Melbourne Tigers NBL team and ticket giveaways from Collingwood Football Club, the Melbourne Vixens and the Melbourne Storm.
