THREE men will answer arson charges following a grass fire in Copas Park, Noble Park, on 23 March.
A witness at Noble Park Fire Brigade saw the trio light the blaze on the corner of Noble and Buckley streets about 8.10pm, and confronted them.
The fire bugs became aggressive and fled before police arrived.
Protective Services Officers at Noble Park Railway Station then saw the men playing with fire in Robert Street, Noble Park, and called police.
Officers arrested one man there, and located and arrested the other two nearby following a short foot pursuit.
They charged two 22-year-olds, from Dandenong and Endeavour Hills, and a 19-year-old from Eumemmerring with arson.
