DANDENONG South Primary School will receive a $10,000 grant to tackle bullying.
It was among 54 schools successful in the third round of the State Government’s Bully Stoppers campaign.
The cash will allow the school to set up its own The Block Out Bully program, which will focus on active bystanders and online bullying.
Students will participate in a number of activities and events, including creating multimedia work about how to combat cyberbullying to present to parents.
Liberal candidate for Dandenong Joanna Palatsides said bullying had been shown to stop within 10 seconds when bystanders took positive action.
