Erratic driving on freeway

By CASEY NEILL

A NOBLE Park man, 40, is accused of erratically driving a car on the Monash and Princes freeways.
Numerous calls to triple-zero about 8.45am expressed concern about the black Holden sedan, near Malvern, and a distressed woman and two small children in the vehicle.
An unmarked police unit located the vehicle near Avalon airport and, with the assistance of a marked police car, manoeuvred the Holden to a stop about one kilometre east of the Little River exit.
Officers removed the Noble Park man from the vehicle and arrested him, and escorted a 27-year-old Noble Park woman and two small children to safety.
No-one involved was injured and the Holden was not involved in any collisions.
The Noble Park man is in custody, assisting police.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
