Attacked man found wandering

A TONGAN man who’d been struck over the head with a wine bottle has been found wandering around Keysborough.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Kane Taylor said passers-by saw the 39-year-old on Chandler Road near Cheltenham Road about 7.20pm on 5 October.
He appeared to have head injuries and a broken right wrist, so they took him to a nearby service station and called an ambulance.
Sen Const Taylor said the man was taken to Dandenong Hospital for treatment and indicated someone had smashed a wine bottle on the top of his head.
“He can’t speak English. We used an interpreter, but he hasn’t shed much light on what’s happened,” he said.
Sen Const Taylor appealed for any witnesses to call Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487.
