THREE Noble Park men started the new year without their cars following holiday season hooning.
Police impounded the vehicles under the state’s hoon legislation.
They detected a 48-year-old man driving a Holden Commodore sedan at 171km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Monash Freeway in Mulgrave about 5.40 am on 20 December.
They discovered a two-year-old child in the back seat when they intercepted the vehicle.
Officers spotted a 24-year-old suspended licence holder driving a Toyota Hilux at 154km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Princes Freeway in Officer about 4.05 am on 2 January.
They detected an unaccompanied learner driver, aged 20, travelling at 159km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Princes Freeway in Pakenham about 7.30pm on 6 January.
Victoria Police is conducting its biggest ever road safety campaign, including 43 local operations and 22 State Highway Patrol operations.
All officers will respond if they observe irresponsible behaviour on the roads.
Police said drivers could be caught anywhere at any time.
