Choir rises with one voice

PEOPLE from all walks of life unite as one voice in Noble Park each Wednesday evening.
Creativity Australia’s With One Voice Greater Dandenong choir welcomes singers from all ages, faiths, cultures and backgrounds.
Its aim is to bridge the gap between members who are experiencing disadvantage and those who are more fortunate, rather than entrenching marginalisation by isolating disempowered people.
They can network and share during supper following rehearsals, creating opportunities for friendship, mentors, wellbeing, self-esteem, new skills and employment.
A professional conductor leads the choir and it regularly performs at community events.
No auditions are held and no singing experience or ability to read music is necessary.
Participants are encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation towards their involvement and to sponsor others.
With One Voice Greater Dandenong runs from 5.15pm to 6.30pm on Wednesdays at the Paddy O’Donoghue Centre, 18-34 Buckley Street, Noble Park.
Call 8679 6088, email enquiries@cal.org.au or visit www.creativityaustralia.org.au for more information.
