Land sale vote due

GREATER Dandenong Council is set to sell its former Springvale Depot site for $11 million.
Councillors are set to vote tonight (Monday 27 July) on a proposal to sell the 20,000 square metre site at 32-40 View Road to developer Met510.
The company has experience in large-scale residential projects and “has the full resources of the Metricon Group available”.
A council report said that, based on its tender submission and an interview, Met510 would “provide the best financial outcome and the most appropriate type of development”.
Money from the sale will go towards implementing the $25 million Springvale Civic Site Masterplan which includes the library and the council’s former administrative buildings.
