A 53-YEAR-OLD man was fined more than $200 after driving a car overloaded with scrap metal in Dandenong North on Sunday afternoon.
The blue Holden Commodore was picked up by police about 2.45pm as it was travelling south along the Monash Freeway near Stud Road.
The car was packed with scrap metal and other tools poking out of the windows, and secured with only string.
The driver, from Dandenong, was slapped with a $228 fine for using a car in breach of width, length or height limits and load restraint requirements.
