Lotto luck leaves family smiling

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

DANDENONG Market Lotto has put a big smile on the faces of one Latrobe Valley family over the weekend.
On Sunday 9 August one dad woke up to more than $2.1 million in Tattslotto.
A dream come true for the father in his fifties who won division one but said that he won’t be retiring any time soon – “I get bored way too easily.”
The life changing win has left the Latrobe Valley man with a few big decisions to make but he said he has since made his mind up about one thing.
“The kids’ birthdays are coming up so they will definitely be getting spoilt with the double beds and iPods they’ve always wanted,” he said.
The winning 24-game QuickPick was bought at the Dandenong Market Lotto on the corner of Clow and Cleeland streets, and the winner said he knew straight away that he’d hit the jackpot.
“I checked my results on Sunday morning in the newspaper and had no doubt that I was the winner,” he said.
The prize of $4 million was split with another winner in Queensland, with 28, 1, 33, 29, 13, 24 and supplementary numbers 14 and 20 the lucky numbers on the night.
