A PARADE of world-class voices will take to the stage in Harmony Square during the 67th annual Dandenong Carols by Candlelight on Friday night, 18 December.
MC Justin Peters is a classically trained tenor who regularly sings at weddings and churches across Victoria.
He is a regular at Carols by Candlelight and has also performed many times at Dandenong’s Australia Day festivities, the mayoral ball and during Seniors’ Week.
Justin is excited to once again be the MC for this year’s carols and will share the hosting duties with The Workers.
Classically trained Celtic soprano Emma Kate Tobia, who moved to Melbourne from Ireland, melds her pure lyrical voice with the timeless melodies of her Irish heritage.
She is a multiple award-winning artist whose career includes three years touring the USA with her show An Irish Dream.
She has featured on NBC-New York and performed for thousands of people outside the New York Stock Exchange and at the 250th St Patrick’s Day Parade Gala Ball alongside the Chieftains, The High Kings and Michael Flatley of Lord of the Dance and Riverdance.
With One Voice Greater Dandenong, led by the extraordinary Nicki Johnson, is one of Creativity Australia’s With One Voice choir programs that brings together people of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles through song.
Creativity Australia’s With One Voice choirs welcome people aged nine to 90 from all faiths, cultures and backgrounds.
And no Carols by Candlelight in Dandenong would be complete without the City of Greater Dandenong Band.
The 30-strong band is one of the premier brass bands in Melbourne and has been a long-time supporter of the carols.
Claim a spot in Harmony Square, adjacent to the council offices in Lonsdale Street, from 6.30pm.
The event is being staged by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with gold sponsors Bendigo Bank (Dandenong Branch), Yarraman Village and Nova FM.
