Police hunt tool-wielding bandits

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

MALES carrying a hammer, knife and a crowbar who stormed a Keysborough convenience store are still on the run.
The store on Cheltenham Road was burgled on Saturday 12 December, about 11.12pm, when a man gained entry through a locked door.
His face was covered and two men closely followed him inside the store.
Both men also had their faces covered and were carrying the tools when they approached the attendant.
One of the offenders jumped the counter and stole cash, but the attendant was not injured and the trio then fled the scene.
One of the males is described as between 16 and 18 years old, with a slim build and perceived to be of Islander appearance.
At the time of the hold-up he was wearing gloves, a black hooded top with white writing, black jeans and black runners.
His face was covered with a black and white bandana and he was carrying a backpack.
The second offender is perceived to be Caucasian and had his face covered.
He was wearing black Adidas shorts with white stripes, a black hooded top, a black peaked cap and Adidas runners.
The third offender was wearing a black spray jacket, grey T-shirt, khaki green canvas runners, white socks, black Adidas track pants, one glove and a white face covering.
Detectives have released CCTV images of three men they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Greater Dandenong Embona Taskforce detectives are investigating and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
