Stabbed teen staggers for help

By CASEY NEILL

A TEENAGE stabbing victim has staggered into a nearby home for help following a come-from-behind attack in Dandenong.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Christine Johnstone said the 19-year-old Springvale man was walking to meet with friends about 7.10pm on Friday 26 February.
As he reached Sixth Avenue and Purdy Street, he was stabbed three times from behind.
The attackers fled with the victim’s phone, which he dropped during the assault.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the occupants of a nearby home called triple-zero.
Det Sen Const Johnstone urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
