Kinders ease into prep

SPRINGVALE kinder kids will now start their pre-school journey at school.
Sandown Park Kindergarten has relocated to a $1 million centre at Springvale Rise Primary School that includes 36 new four-year-old kinder places and maternal and child health services.
Premier Daniel Andrews and Families and Children Minister Jenny Mikakos officially opened the integrated centre on Wednesday 2 March.
It will also have the capacity to run playgroups and parents groups and to create a smooth transition for children as they move into prep.
The State Government contributed $650,000 to the project and the City of Greater Dandenong also chipped in.
“Springvale children and their families will benefit greatly from the opportunities and services this new centre brings,” Mr Andrews said.
“We know that providing the very best in early childhood services greatly improves the life chances of every child and that’s exactly what we are doing.”
